Join us for Ancient and Still: Día de los Muertos Artist Conversation and Tequila Tasting with photographer Kate Turning and sculptor Steven Jacobi. Based in Todos Santos, Baja, the artists draw inspiration from the region’s light, landscape, and spirit. Turning’s portraits of the rare Cirio trees explore nature’s impermanence through digital experimentation, while Jacobi’s clay vessels and wall pieces reflect the textures and history of Baja’s exposed terrain. Together, their works evoke themes of time, transformation, and endurance—echoing the reflective essence of Día de los Muertos. Enjoy an evening of conversation, art, and tequila celebrating what is both ancient and still.
