Artist Statement

In my watercolors and fabric work, I use layers and transparency to create a sense of depth in both meaning and visual experience. I explore my materials intuitively, letting them lead the way. Themes that often arise are connection, ephemerality, serenity, and the poetry of micro and macroscopic worlds.
