Librarians Screening

Join us for a special screening of the award winning documentary The Librarians, in collaboration with the Wilmette Theatre. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through www.wilmettetheatre.com.

Following the screening, continue the evening at Patrician Gallery for conversation and light bites. The Librarians explores the fight against book banning and the defense of intellectual freedom—echoing the ideas at the center of our current exhibition, Illuminating Silence by Amanda Love.

In her work, Love transforms discarded books through a meticulous process of tearing and reassembling, creating luminous fragments that reflect absence, erasure, and cultural memory. Through this act of transformation, she illuminates what has been silenced, positioning preservation, repair, and reimagining as powerful acts of resistance.

Illuminating Silence runs from April 9th to June 12th, 2026.
